Together with winemaker Julien Fayard, Jason Rebrook has curated a selection of extraordinary vineyard sites – from Napa Valley’s iconic Pritchard Hill to the spectacular coastal Fort Ross Vineyard. The resulting wines are powerful yet elegant, complex yet graceful.
Jason Charles Rebrook grew up in the mountains of West Virginia. With unwavering determination, he carved out a successful career in engineering and geology, guiding companies towards significant growth. His deep connection to the land eventually led him to Napa Valley, where he developed a profound appreciation for wine, a passion that blends his love for the earth with the joy of shared experiences. For Jason, wine is a powerful force, uniting friends and family in moments of connection over a shared glass.
Applying the same passion that fueled his business achievements, Jason delved into the world of wine and viticulture. His principles of persistence, precision, and the pursuit of excellence, now form the foundation of Rebrook Cellars. Dedicated to producing exceptional wines from extraordinary vineyards, each bottle serves as a testament to Jason's belief that true beauty lies in the journey, with greatness as the enduring goal.
As a young man in Saint-Étienne, France, Julien Fayard could not have predicted that within the next twenty years, he would become one of Napa Valley’s most trusted and acclaimed winemakers. He made his first wine at the age of 16, got his feet wet making rosé at the family winery in Provence, and before too long found himself in the hallowed cellars of first growth Château Lafite Rothschild and Château Smith Haut-Lafitte.
That enviable training followed him to California, where he eventually became Director of Winemaking at Atelier Melka—with a hand in wines from Lail, Gemstone, and Dalla Valle—before he decided to set up his own company.
Along the way, he’s learned not to get in the way. Terroir comes first, and nothing should impede its expression in the glass. He knows the impact of careful planting decisions and attentive farming. Perfectly ripe—not overripe—fruit is the key to hitting the mark every time. Amiable, highly knowledgeable, and self-assured, Fayard’s deft winemaking touch is the perfect fit for Rebrook.
